Confined Space Safe Entry & Self Rescue

1 Day Course
10 People Max
£200pp
Overview

The course prepares candidates to enter, work and self-rescue from confined spaces safely. You will underpinning knowledge of confined space legislation, identify confined spaces, associated hazards, confined space risk assessments, principles of safe systems of work for confined space operations and the legal requirement and importance of a confined space rescue plan.

As well as practical training in the use of equipment to allow safe access and egress, the use of personal atmospheric monitoring equipment, emergency escapes, breathing apparatus and confined space communications.

The practical exercises are performed using our purpose-built confined space training simulator. You will learn how to, descend, ascend and traverse a confined space wearing a safety harness. You will be required to wear emergency escape breathing apparatus and safely exit the confined space. You will be expected to crawl through 20 meters of various sized and shaped tunneling, and under various simulated emergency conditions that include noise, limited light and smoke.

Our confined space mobile simulators enable the training to be delivered at any location.
