High Risk Confined Space
Working in High Risk Confined Spaces is extremely dangerous. Each year people are killed or seriously injured due to working in confined spaces. Poorly trained staff or incorrect safety managements could be contributing factors.

A High Risk Confined Space is a space which has risk that cannot be mitigated to acceptable levels. If breathing apparatus is required then this will also class as high risk confined space entry. These entries may have complex procedures so it is critical that the team working in or around the confined space has the appropriate training. To ensure your team is trained up to deal with High Risk Entries then they will need to attend our City & Guilds Level 2 Working in High Risk Confined Space 6160-03 course.

If a High Risk Entry can not be avoided then you must have a rescue team overseeing the entry. This will consist of a team of a minium of 3 people to assist if something goes wrong. To understand what is involved and to be competent you will need to attend City & Guilds Level 3 Working as a Member of a Rescue & Recovery Team in Confined Space 6160-08. This is a two day course that will give you the skill set needed to satisfy safety requirements for High Risk Rescue Team.

To complete City & Guilds Level 3 Working as a Member of a Rescue & Recovery Team in Confined Spaces 6160-08 you first must complete the 3 days City & Guilds Level 2 Working in High Risk Confined Space 6160-03 as a prerequisite.
